Morvern Valley Farmstay has the widest variety of Farm Animals of any Farm Stay in NSW.
We don’t do Day Visits, so it’s all private to those staying in the cottages.
You will get the sense of living on your own farm’…
Tractor rides are great fun – and included, If you are interested call Jason after you arrive and we will organise a time – exclusive to your group for a birds eye view of the farm, ask questions and learn about life on the land from Jason the farmer. Parents with their youngsters love to ride right inside ‘Big Red’ the Morvern Valley tractor – fun for young and the not so young too! No extra charge and very enjoyable – a real highlight.
Feed all the Farm Animals, and get involved with them – all day, every day! The animals want to meet you as much as you want to meet them. They eagerly await your arrival to see what treats you may have for them. Perhaps bring Bread, Apples and Carrots – these special treats will make you a firm favourite with the Farm Animals. Every cottage has its own private hen house with a flock of laying hens, and a Heritage Purebred flock too – collect eggs with golden yolks! Each year we buy fresh laying hens, and we have pure breed poultry as well that we exhibit. Our Chickens, Ducks and Geese win champion ribbons at the Sydney Royal Easter Show every year. Feed your kitchen scraps to your chickens and they will reward you with more nutritious and delicious eggs.
Fudge the mini horse can be brought to your cottage yard for ‘Up Close and Personal Patting and Brushing Sessions’. Fudge won Reserve Australian National Champion when he was young. He still loves the attention. No charge & private – All activities are Exclusive to Guests Staying at Morvern Valley. Lovely, private animal experiences. You will feel as if you are on your own farm.
All the Farm Animals are eager to meet you, you are welcome to feed them and pat them. Walk through the paddocks, explore the creek and more.
Morvern Valley has two Donkeys, a flock of Sheep, Turkeys, Ponies, two Cows – Licorice and Curly, 2 gaggles of Geese, 2 flocks of Ducks, a Gypsy Cob horse, and Miniature Horses too. Guinea Fowl, Alpacas and Peafowl. More than 50 chickens too. Not to mention Nancy and Molly our friendly goats. Both are inquisitive and love to meet the guests, they will come right up to you! Morvern Valley has a wide range of Farm Animals.
