The creek that crosses Morvern Valley is Coal Creek, and it tumbles delightfully over Erith Coal Mine Falls just next door in The Morton National Park.
The bushwalk is only about 45 minutes and is very interesting – you can peer into the mines and read the history!
Walking just a few meters more takes you down to the base of the fall and you can swim in the crisp clean pool found here, take a picnic – there is a great area to sit, you can skip stones and make a whole day in this quiet very beautiful place.
