A lovingly restored 1939 Country Homestead – Morvern Valley Farm has been offering farm stays for more than a hundred and twenty years – since 1896.
All three Cottages are Private & the property is Host Free. All the cottages accommodate the same and have the same style decor and facilities, all are as close to the animals. Hosts live in Bundanoon – Closeby should you need any assistance.
The Original Homestead is self-contained, private and perfectly suitable for a romantic couple by themselves, or a group of up to eight.
There is a lovely log Open Fireplace, electric heating in the other rooms, fluffy feather doonas & electric blankets for cooler weather. Very good insulation too.
The Original Homestead has its Own Private Chicken Coop in the house yard. Friendly chooks lay eggs year around for you to collect & enjoy for all your breakfasts while at Morvern. Yum!
‘Step back in Time’ is our Cottage Farm Stay theme. A whimsical collection of dolls, an antique 4 poster bed, an old school desk & butter box stool from the depression era in the Original Homestaed complete the shabby-chic feel found throughout all three cottages.
The Original Homestead is located on a quiet leafy country lane. It’s just 500m easy walk to Bundanoon village as are all the cottages.
A Laundry with a Washing Machine and a compact moveable clothes line, iron and board is also provided for your convenience.
The new bathroom with antique style fitments has a Double Spa Bath (with heat pump for long spas), shower, basin & toilet.
Toast marshmallows in front of the roaring open fire in the lounge.
3 Bedrooms tastefully decorated. Each a completely different theme, the Romance room is a Tudor Room is decorated in rich green & gold damasks. Quality Laura Ashley gingham sheets throughout the bedrooms.
The dining room closes off , so it can be used as a fourth sleeping area – The double futon here brings the maximum Accommodated up to 8.
There is a large hooded BBQ on the long verandah.

Relax in comfy armchairs in front of the open wood log fireplace in the lounge room. Play with toys & games, watch DVDs & enjoy excellent TV reception.
The Kitchen has a Stove Top, Oven, Fridge, Freezer, Microwave, Kettle, Toaster, Coffee Maker, Crockery, Cutlery & all Utensils too. Quality Pots and Pans in all cottages.
Olden day photos show early family life in Bundanoon. Women of the day were actively engaged in functional utilitarian art. Any spare time was spent embroidering doilies, beaded jug covers and decorating coat hangers. Hand stitched patchwork quilts were lovingly and carefully made.
All the cottages are lovely & quiet. Morvern doesn’t have train, or plane noise. Sometimes there may be noise with farm activities – a working farm is a busy place!
There is a lovely sense of privacy at the property. We are Closeby if you need Assistance, we leave you alone during your stay.
