Alecia Cottage is a self-contained Western Red Cedar cottage at Morvern Valley. All cottages have the same facilities and are as close to the animals.
It comfortably Accommodates up to 8 people. It has a Ramp – great for prams – and Alecia Cottage is Fully Certified as Accessible. Those who are Mobility or Disablity guests will be comfortable at Alecia Cottage. There is a Hob-less shower, lowered light switches and taps, entry ramp etc etc.
Alecia Cottage’s styling is themed on a 1940’s Australian farm house with lots of French Provincial detail. Antique four poster beds, patchwork quilts, gingham and lace. Each bedroom has a different theme…. excellent quality orthopaedic mattresses ensure a good night’s sleep.
The cottage is alike in design to Braedon Cottage it has a open feel, where ‘the cook’ doesn’t need to feel left out of the picture! The living, kitchen and dining areas are ‘open plan’ i.e. together in the large main room – and the third bedroom has a huge double width doorway so you can still watch your children while at play.
There is a large brand new bathroom, with tessellated floor tiles sourced from The Old English Tile Factory – relax and indulge in the Double Spa Bath.
Accessible Alecia Cottage is cosy and warm with a large Open Log Fire with sturdy safety screen. Your family are sure to be warm with fluffy doonas, quilts, electric blankets and heaters. There is auxilary electric heating and great insulation too.
Alecia Cottage is 3 Bedroom. There is a Queen Bed in the Main Bedroom, A Double in the 2nd Bedroom.
The 3rd bedroom is a flexible space – a multipurpose room has two double futon beds in it, bringing the Maximum to 8. It has a large area to play with games, jigsaws, toys & is a great place to quietly read books. There is television reception & an extensive library of DVDs for all ages.
A compact Kitchen features a Vintage Style Brand New Stove, with 4 element cook top and 3 ovens! Your kitchen is equipped with all your modern needs too. Fridge & Freezer, Coffee Maker, Toaster, Microwave, Kettle, quality Pots & Pans, Glassware, Crockery & all the Cutlery you will need.
Step Back In Time’ – A genuine 1940’s kitchen cupboard in the large main room – sitting on top is an old butter churn, lots of collectable enamelware and kitchenalia. Pickles and preserves, teapots with cosies and old canisters all set the stage for a memorable farm holiday for you and your family.
Parents favour Alecia and Braedon cottages as in both cottages the play area is out in front of the verandah – you can relax whilst overlooking the children. There is a Washing Machine and all cottages are just as close to the farm animals.
Your own Chickens! Alecia Cottage is nice and close to all the farm animals and has its Own Chicken Coop. Collect lovely fresh eggs and cook them up on your own private hooded BBQ.
