Baby Giant Flemish Rabbits

The other side of the Bantam enclosure houses our Giant Flemish Bunnies. They have 2 cute cottages and an above ground burrow system too. Sapphire has given birth to 7 kittens, tucked up in their fluffy comfortable nest made by their mum – they are very sweet and cute. They are almost all blue like their mum, with just one black boy.

Rabbit’s leave their kittens alone all day, only returning for feed times – this is instinctual as in the wild the mum doesn’t want to alert predators to the whereabouts of her nest.
