We had a fabulous time! The kids loved the house and the animals! Much time was enjoyed at the swings and the old car, exploring fairyland down by the creek, crossing bridges and collecting firewood. We had a wonderful tea party by the open fireplace in Alanna’s room and lovely times in the comfy chairs on the veranda. Riley took so many photos of the house because ‘he never wants to forget this place’ they were so busy they didn’t sit in front of the TV once. Thank you and hope to come back!!

A  lovely property and old worlde ambience for a group of good friends to have a break in the country- so many options in the house to read, to sit by the fire, have afternoon tea by the fire, dinner in the little parlour – wish we didn’t have to leave so soon!! Love the animals – particularly the gorgeous donkeys. Thanks for your lovely place we will always remember it and hope to return.

A fantastic stay Thank you Julie and Jason for creating such a wonderful experience. We loved all the little details, the tea cups, the old world Jam cookbook, the old school desk. The animals were a delight and what a treat to have twin lambs born while we were here!!! The chickens were a hit with our two. Thank you Thank you we will recommend most certainly and will be back.

As before we have really enjoyed our stay. We fed the animals and also were v very generous to the chooks. They have repaid us with a bountiful supply of eggs. One day we collected 10 eggs, no day less than 4. We feel very comfortable here and find the whole atmosphere so relaxing. Thank you for looking after Sienna – her hutch was just the thing.

Thank you for allowing us to fall in love with the countryside. The Southern Highlands is stunning and this place was wonderful. We enjoyed our stay immensely and the kids didn’t leave the chooks. They got a big serving of food on our last day and we loved them, the horses, alpacas, the lambs, sheep and the pony. Couldn’t have asked for any better except for a longer stay. Thanks and god bless you.

Loved all the animals, the swings, the walks, the open fires. Just LOVED IT ALL. Also enjoyed having fresh eggs everyday, the chickens did us well. House and beds were nice and warm and cosy. Great to have biscuits on arrivals. It was good to have information to read about the history of where we were staying and it surrounding area. Thanks Jason and Julie for a good time we are all leaving nice and relaxed.

We loved your farm and there’s no doubt we’ll be coming back! Your cottage is so very cute and your animals are beautiful. We loved your chickens and ducklings we fed them like they were ours. Every morning we would go for a walk and it was so fun! We also loved the swings we went so high on them! Thanks Julie and Jason for letting us stay on your beautiful property.

Thanks for a wonderful stay at the farm. The toddlers were beside themselves when they met the donkeys, sheep and chooks. Great house and great holiday in a beautiful location.

Thanks the H & G Families Sept 2010

We had a lovely few days here; from the amazing cookies on arrival to feeding the chooks our scraps- it was all fantastic! Our little boy loved all the animals and it was hard to keep him inside. Thank you so much for a wonderful few days in the country.

Thank you for creating a wonderful nostalgic atmosphere in the cottages. For the older members of our group it reminded us of our childhood days at our grandparents’ home. Loved looking at the sweet touches of by gone days. M,M,S,A,L,M,B,S,G,V,M were able to enjoy the celebration of a 70th birthday and to be able to be with their grandmother, wife and mother. Thank you for the hospitality and the use of the cottages Thanks Again.

The decorations were fantastic so many things to let you know what life used to be like. The kids loved the animals and the chance to explore the farm. Thanks for a great experience. Great for bringing the family together. The 3 separate houses gave us the much needed space from the extended family when required. Oct 2010.

Wright Family Oct 2010

We have had such a relaxing wonderful stay here. From the beautiful, country cosy atmosphere where all the details add to that special touch to the welcoming farm animals always eager for a feed or a pat. The chooks repaid our offering of food scraps with a plentiful supply of lovely eggs. We will definitely be back and will recommend to our friends – thank you so much!

Thanks for a lovely stay we truly enjoyed it. It was about time hubby and I sat in front of a log fire at night – after 3 years of marriage. It was about time our toddler learned that fire can be bad and also good. And golly how good it was….this cosy fire, during our rather wet and rainy stay. We also enjoyed the animals, eggs, fresh local bacon, and fresh lemons (we hope you didn’t mind that we picked some), the quiet and historic atmosphere of the house. Thanks again.

Thanks for the welcome on the front door. Straight away I knew we had made the right decision to come here less than 2 weeks after surgery to rest and relax the character of the house, the perfume and loveliness of the garden and the beauty of the property has been so relaxing. The sound of the cicadas has surprised me so much earlier that in Sydney. We’ve loved the chooks the ducks horses and pony and it’s been fun feeding them. Reading the history of the property and about the various animals has been very interesting too. I think that we would like to come again when I can be more active. Thanks for the provisions for such an enjoyable stay. (I loved the guardian Angels) xx

AH…. a trip back in time. A place to chill out outside of a busy and rushing city life to a tranquil place. The farm animals are lovely, the 2 brown horses are dominant and want all the food. Thanks to the chooks for your yummy and FRESH farm eggs. The cicadas are great to listen to as well. A comfy 4 poster bed in the main room and a nice hot long shower were great too. Thank you to the owners for making this house a place of living history and for renovating it for younger people so they can appreciate how people loved in times one by. And the little surprises in the garden.

Very attractive and interesting cottage. We did some long day walks in Morton NP, joining up all the pathways. Fantastic views and varied and beautiful paths. Good Chinese food, delicious pizza! We also visited Fitzroy Falls and walked along the eastern edge – yet more wonderful views. The reserves and parks are fabulous – almost alien, to my English eyes and full of mystery. The farmed countryside here is also very attractive indeed and similar to parts of England – but emptier of people.

K,M,K,T,A. Nov 2010

Another good holiday – the rain no problem. Once again the chickens were kind to us. Sienna is starting to consider this place her second home. Thanks again for the hutch and we trust we will return in the not too distant future.

J &H. Dec 2010

Great cottage, Location, animals, fresh eggs and atmosphere. Very relaxing few days. We’ll be back.

F,E,M Dec 2010

A fantastic experience for all of us! We had very good weather half the time we were here and enjoyed fully those sunshine days. However it was great that we could enjoy the warm fire place when it was raining and cold. I think we ate enough eggs to last us a month. Thank you Julie and Jason. We will definitely return again next time!

J,L,Z,Z, and Einstein the dog! Christmas 2010

Refreshing and relaxing stay. Great to indulge on farm fresh eggs, chat to horse, ponies, alpacas and other animals and take us in the great views. Beautifully and thoughtfully set up. We also learnt about the local history. Back now to the big smoke!

Comfy beds, good BBQ, friendly farm animals. We have all enjoyed staying at Morvern Valley Guest House having someone to feed our food scraps to. The hens and ducks – it has been wonderful. Yummy Eggs! We have loved looking around the quaint town of Bundanoon and Morton National Park. We went on a few walks – echo point, mount Carnarvon, and bonnie view, all breathtaking views. The Fairy Bower Falls was a different walk spectacular forest and waterfall. We even saw a snake on our walk! In the evening we toasted marshmallows, we made smalls (toasted marshmallows between chocolate biscuits) one evening we went to Glow Worm Glen How amazing is that. We left before dark, so we could enjoy the walk down and see the first glow worm of the night and just sat and watched the show till very late.

A delightful homestead property with many historic memorabilia. A real insight into life before the rat race. The boys loved the farmyard experience with regular trips to check up on the hen’s performance statistics. Never eaten so many baked, boiled, fried, scrambled eggs and omelettes! Must come again! Thank you

We booked the 3 cottages – what a great time we had here with my sister, brother in law children and my grandchildren. It is a holiday we will always remember. Such a difference experience for all of us. The grandchildren were rapt in the animal life. P.S. My granddaughter just said “Nanna can we please stay another night”.

We came for the rest and to celebrate K’s birthday. The rest was the best, and we enjoyed every day. My mum would be so proud of me using the Early Kooka. I enjoyed feeding the chooks & collecting the eggs. Do I have to go home? I especially enjoyed the company of my husband and my dear friends S & D. They always complete the journey.

We will be back and will stay for longer next time. We really did feel at home. Thank you to the Peacock family and thank you chooks for the yummy eggs!!!
